Mino (“minnow”) is a super sweet boy who was rescued from a very bad situation, where he was starved and subjected to violence from other starving dogs. Because of this, he needs a patient adopter who is willing to give Mino the time he needs to build confidence in a new environment.
Mino is around 28 pounds and mostly fur. He gets along with other dogs but he is scared of very pushy, dominant males. He travels well and likes both men and women, but needs a soft voice and gentle hand. Mino would love a home that wants to do some training and has lots of toys – but he may never have the confidence to be a sport dog and perform in public. We are still working on Mino’s house training and he’s coming along very well! He wears a belly band inside just to be safe, but rarely has accidents. Mino is not a huge fan of the kennel for long periods of time, and would love to have an adopter who is home more often than not.
Mino *must* be altered by his adopter. He may not be used for breeding and likely will not receive AKC registration paperwork due to the abuse situation. He can get AKC PAL papers, if desired.
