Dune is a fantastic young male Mudi who we imported from Hungary. From the moment he arrived, Dune showed us that his job was to be a stock dog. His natural instinct on sheep and other livestock has been amazing to watch develop.
Dune is a rare sort of Mudi – he’s very social and loves people and dogs typically right from the moment they meet. He can be on the softer side with humans and didn’t enjoy the pressure of showing in conformation. Dune is a relationship type of dog and loves to hear what a good boy he is. He has fabulous house manners, avoids tension with other intact males, and can get just about any dog to play with him.
In Spring 2024, Dune moved to Maine to begin working on a dairy farm. He has shown amazing potential with cows and came home with some excellent stock skills. Later in fall of 2024, Dune also did a board & train in Virginia for more herding training. Dune finished his AKC Championship in May 2025, and will be switching to full-time farm and working life now that he’s a champion.
