The third dam to join our program officially is an adult female black merle named Sas, or Sassy. Sas means “eagle” in Hungarian. Sas was imported from Pure Energy Kennels in Puebla City, Mexico, and lived her first year with Wodan Kennels. After spending a lot of time with Sas, we decided to bring her home to see how she fit in with our dogs, and she’s here to stay!

Sas is a more reserved Mudi, but only until the ball comes out! She is a toy FREAK and loves swimming more than life itself. Sassy will literally do anything for a ball, but she is completely non aggressive/possessive with other dogs which we love. She began her official dock diving career in May 2021 and earned her first diving title – Dock Master – in June. Sassy has an Intermediate Trick Dog title, as well. Sas has been introduced to stock and we expect her to be a big help around the farm.

After Sassy’s winter 2022 litter with us, she was spayed and will live here with us on the farm doing sports and whatever else makes her happy. Watch for her two boys, Crash and Nightjar, as they mature!
