Királytanyai Lelkes x Szeles Vadűző Aurum

Szeles Vadűző Eraviscus
Recently, we welcomed this tiny little man to the USA! Say hello to Szeles Vadűző Eraviscus “Ptarmigan” aka “Parmesan.” To our knowledge, Ptarmigan is the first from his kennel to move to North America. We have been longtime fans of his sire, Királytanyai Lelkes, and we’re so honored that Ptarmigan’s breeder trusted us with one of his beloved Mudis.
This Mudi boy is what is referred to as an FSS dog – Foundation Stock Service. This means that he came from Europe with a pedigree that has less than three full generations on record. Hungary, the country of origin for our breed, has an open stud book and evaluates dogs for inclusion based on a number of factors. While Ptarmigan is not “full” AKC, his offspring would get AKC registration. His FSS status only prevents him from competing in AKC conformation events – he will participate in performance events as usual.
Ptarmigan is related to Goldfinch and Junco through some Mudis that are well known for their excellent temperaments. He is a little guy – as in, somehow he is smaller than Swift. We are excited to have invested in a puppy who may help keep dogs on the smaller side in the breeding program.
Major Accomplishments – TBD
