Balaen is a striking black merle natural bobtail Mudi who has already captured our hearts with his confidence, focus, and biddability. He lives close to home in North Carolina, where he’s beginning his journey toward an incredible career: Human Remains Detection (HRD) for Wilderness Search & Rescue.

We’re so excited to watch this special boy grow, learn, and work. With his drive and focus, we know he’s destined to do amazing things!

Balaen is co-owned with Jenna.
Here’s what she has to say about her puppy:
“Balaen is my right hand man! Off leash hike in the woods? Got it. Helping on the farm? No problem. Want him to jump? He’ll only ask how high. Balaen does anything and everything with his whole heart, and I cannot wait to see how our partnership grows. Balaen is my Search and Rescue prospect, and I have no doubt he’ll be an all around superstar!”
